IDT celebrates 25th anniversary
'The best is yet to come', says IDT boss as firm celebrates 25th anniversary
IDT has an eye on growth as it celebrates its 25th anniversary.
The company is looking to push turnover towards the £2.5m mark after it’s MBO by Managing Director Luke Draper and Technical Director James Cartwright three years ago.
Now, the pair want to make IDT one of the best places to work in their industry, says Luke. He added:
"Since our 'in-house relaunch' almost three years ago, we’ve come such a long way in terms of where the business was and where we are today it’s almost unrecognisable and we are excited about what IDT can become. Saying you are different from your competitors is easy, as most businesses do it - proving it and continuing to work at it daily is where you show it not only our customers to our own team. 25 Years has gone like a blink, I can still remember sitting at home for hours trying to come up with a name and logo for the business and I can’t remember how but IDT just somehow stuck"
James Cartwright added, “Myself and Luke are so proud of what we’ve created here and It would be nice to know that when IDT gets to 50 as I know it will, mine and Luke’s legacy and ethos will still underpin the business."
IDT has made a number of new hires over the last 12 months and invested in young talent and have been so impressed with the success of its apprentices and that it has plans to expand the programme and make a significant investment in more young people looking to start a career in the industry.
The company has also continued to sponsor a range of community initiatives at local sports clubs, focusing on helping young people have access to sport. This was recently highlighted by the business being the sole sponsor of Erewash Valley Golf Club’s Junior Section and its Annual Junior Open . IDT has a long history of supporting local sporting initiatives and works extensively with the Notts County Foundation to help provide vital support to some of Nottinghamshire’s most disadvantaged young people.
IDT is also one of the main sponsors at Southern League Premier Division Central club Coalville Town FC for the third successive year.
Luke added: "James and I are both driven by making IDT the best it can be and that’s not just bigger with more clients; it’s the best for our staff, the best for our clients, the best for our partners, and the best for our community."
