Legal practice Mander Cruickshank was founded in the early 1920s. Since then it has served Coalville, Hinckley and surrounding districts in Leicestershire. The practice undertakes both private client work and Legal Aid. The Practice holds a Legal Aid Agency franchise in Family, Crime and Mental Health, and is a holder of the Lexcel Accreditation, which means the practice is subject to stringent quality control measures.

The Challenge

For years, the business had been using an on-premises PBX telecoms solution with ageing ISDN lines. Approximately 50 handsets were being used throughout the business, across two sites. As well as frustrating staff, the limitations and failings of the existing system created escalating costs through expensive repairs and maintenance contracts.

The Solution

We enabled Mander Cruickshank to upgrade from its traditional telecoms solution to ensure it would be more efficient and have better lines of communication. Because it wanted staff to have a flexible and robust solution that would allow them to access the system from both handsets and smartphones - and across offices - along with much needed functionality to work from home, we provided this by installing a new hosted system.
